2015 Nismo Festival

As the year and racing season starts to wrap up and we enter the holidays season; some of our favorite events by the manufacturers racing development branches are held. The NISMO Festival kicks it off for us here at Fuji Speedway which provides the perfect venue to not only display these powerful machines but also let them out for some quick laps around the track.

2015 Toyota Gazoo Festival

If you been to the NISMO Festival and liked it, then you're going to love the Toyota Gazoo Festival. Here Toyota pulls out all the stops and dwarfs all other manufacturers festivals, clearly showing their strong position in the automobile industry.

2013 Tokyo Motor Show

The 2013 Tokyo Motor Show was filled with the newest cars to be released as well as concept cars that are still in the design phase from the top Japanese and European automakers in the industry. There were a few concept cars that stood out for us including the new Honda NSX and Nissan's modern rendition of the Bluebird 510 the Nismo IDx.

This year also featured tons of products of innovation being exhibited through out the show.  An example was smart steering wheels that assisted in avoiding collisions as well as adjust the temperature automatically depending temperature. No more burning your hands in the summer or freezing them in the winter.

The next Tokyo Motor Show will be in 2015 and if the 2013 show was any sign of things to come we might be seeing a real change in what and how we drive in the coming years. The 2013 show reveled very little in the way of new and exciting sports cars from the Japanese manufactures. Instead they focused on energy-efficient models and technology assisted features.

I guess change is inevitable, but I hope the industry isn't moving in the wrong direction. There are still customers out there that buy cars because of the excitement they give you from driving or just looking at them. I want to fill connected to my car and the road. I'd rather feel that I'm driving it than feel like it's driving me or what's the point. I might as well be riding the bus or the train. lol Until next time, finger on the shutter trigger!
